Any interest in a 3D engine?

Hello!
I'm wondering if there's any interest in a D3D9 + D3D11 game engine for PureBasic. I don't want to advertise the specific engine, just curious. (The engine is similar in nature to Blitz3D's, but more modern. It is proprietary and wouldn't be free. No, I'm not selling it.)
I've seen a few posts where some users have expressed interest in some form of an update, but it's hard to tell whether that reflects the current state of the community as a whole. For that reason I'm posting here.
Cheers,
Aaron

I think it reflects the current state of the community. A DirectX 9+ engine would definetly add to PureBasic's appeal.

I also think it reflects a need for up to date and well maintained engine. DX9 is great but DX11 is taking over and so far we don't have anything for PB that runs on X11. There are many outdated Irrlicht wrappers, Blitz3D SDK (DX7 here we meet again), a few DX9 engines (also not really maintained), and then there is built in OGRE support. Although PB-OGRE has been tremendously enhanced recently it is still light years behind anything else, you know how it is, developers work mostly on core functionality instead of other "perks". Personally I would be really interested in your engine.

any addition to the 3d in purebasic are welcome whether freeware or commercial, i know only that there are 2 commercial engines for purebasic :blitz3d sdk and darkGDK, i was about 1 cm from buying darkGDK before i know that its author are disappeared even its site darkgdk.com still running, that is very strange issue.
the most important is the support through some forum, and the continuity, also a demo should be available.
if it is proved good enough even the purebasic fans who don't care about 3D may buy it as a collection even they may never used it. and everything depends on time and the developer should be patient.

Hi AaronMiller
Sure - is it NB based or is it an other development?

An "update" to D3D11 would be a nice thing, but the D3D9 support would be still needed. Not every one got the newer Versions of Windows.
An over all that the OGRE engine should be first integrated in its (nearly) whole dimensions. For example: Shadows aren´t working correct and the Water-lib is useless. Only CreateWater() and WaterColor() is too little. Great would be the size of the water (X,Y), the frequency of waves and their altitude and die direction of waves (Where they´re floating).

Hi Bananenfreak,
The engine Aaron Miller speaks of is DX9 and DX11, handles both gracefully.

David
