Import/Export ALL settings

Got an idea for enhancing PureBasic? New command(s) you'd like to see?

Import/Export ALL settings

Post by uwekel »

Hi,

importing or exporting settings does not take all things into account.

e.g.
- general options
- selected language or theme
- editor options & font
- custom keyword list
- compiler and debugger options
- tools panel settings & options

It would be great if we could save and restore all of our settings at once.

Best regards
Uwe

Just copying the preferences files could cause PB to crash as happened with PB 5.1 Beta 2. A proper import should validate the settings.

Oh, I have not seen that on v5 and windows.
Anyway, if the crash trigger is the IDE attempting to open files that don't exist, then delete them from the purebasic.prefs file before loading the IDE.
I'm sure this is a short time bug, since loading the prefs is a basic feature.

It should not crash if you copy your prefs file around, if it does it's a bug.
