?????????????????????????

Its annoying that a CUSTOMER ask something???

A very simple phrase are used in business in all the world:

'The customer ALWAYS have the reason'

If questions are annoying then close the forums

Mmmmm... ignoring WHAT answer?
Does anybody has the obligation to know if some question was posted before??????????????????????????

If you check any forums, about anything, you will find that the same questions/answers come again and again, no matter if the forums is about usa/iraq or over ASM or anything.

I think that some guys here are loosing the common sense, this is NOT the army.

Every time i have some question i will ask, if somebody dosent like it im very sorry, but im not trying to upset anyone... its the first time the i see something like this!!!

Do i have to ask your permission to post?????????

Best Regards

Ricardo

No, but it's a question of sensible use of the forums. Imagine if every new user comes here and asks about the same topic. This would reduce the effectiveness of the forums because:

1) Search results will become meaningless. You will have 100 topics which match but need to search through all those to find the solution in only a few.

2) Wasteful of disk space, putting extra burdens on Leigh in terms of maintaining and hosting the site. Perhaps even affecting the performance of the forums.

As long as people make some effort to think for themselves, and do some simple searches for the answer (both here, in their native OS SDK and on Google, for example) then I think no-one will be bothered by the occasional repetition of questions.

The abuse of the forums begins when the same person posts the same questions/rants repeatedly when they have already been answered.

Edit: Typos.

It's not minimalist - I'm increasing efficiency by reducing input effort.

Yes, when they ask the SAME question over and over, and have been told the answer
before. That's what Fred is talking about. If you've been the answer once, then
there's no reason to keep asking in different places in the forum.
