(1) The preferences should be saved when the app exits. When I use

(2) To make it look more professional, you need to make the numbers
and letters at the left have a transparent background, so that they
look good on all PC setups. Have a look at this URL to see how they

of coarse this will change to whatever people have set it to, but i think you can retrieve this value using check your WinAPI docs

I'm using W2K Pro. If I run the app, click Preferences, change the
Midi Device, and close the app, then no preferences are saved.

I can duplicate the error if I on the Chords Tab and double click on one of the choices in "chords names found" and then click on search. Then I get the plain C or E etc. If I click on that.. I blow up....

Confirmed. Here's exactly what I did:

(1) Started the app and clicked the 'OK' button to get rid of the MessageRequester.
(2) At 'Chord Names Found' I clicked once on the 'C Maj' entry.
(3) I then clicked the 'Search Chord' tab.
(4) I then clicked the 'C' entry in the 'Search Chord' listbox.
(5) App crashed ('Illegal operation...').

I can confirm that too. (using Win2k)

It crashes, if I press something in 'Chord Names Found' and then Click the first entry in the 'Search Chord' listbox.

But if I click in the 'Search Chord' box without doing anything else, or If I don't click the first entry, it's ok.

My ErrorLog for the Program says that the Error was an access violation. Maybe there is something wrong with a Pointer or a Poke/Peek operation?

I know Win2k does more checking, on what a Program can access than Win98, so that might be the reason you can't reproduce the error.

Maybe you could 'Debug' some Values you think might cause the problem (it must be somewhere after a click event in the listbox) and send a Version with Debugger enabled to me for testing.

(If you run the app with debugger enabled, and then Send me the 'PureBasic682359.exe' File from the Compilers directory, i can test it with Debugger, too)
