How about a web page that contains a list of all known bugs in the
current version?
This would be a lot easier and quicker than reading or searching on
all the Forum's old topics. It would save each of us the time wasting
inconvenience of rediscovering each bug the hard way
If Fred thinks this is a bad advert for his language he could restrict
access to existing paid up members. For example, by including a
secret web page address with the most recent update of PB.

Agreed. A list of what is being worked on would also be useful.

It's not minimalist - I'm increasing efficiency by reducing input effort.

To have a Bug / ToDo list would to me be good advert for PB. And hopefully stop the "search the message boards" threads.
It's also difficult to guess what will change in the next release, and take it into consideration with you own developing plans.

The trouble with this is that newbies still come here and ask the
same stuff over and over and over, even when there's a FAQ in the
Beginner's Section. I made that FAQ for exactly the reason you
described, but checking the newbie questions here show that it
doesn't work -- I just end up pointing them to the FAQ or direct
links to the questions instead.

Potential purchasers of PureBasic need to know if suits their needs
before they buy it... so a secret page would be of no use to them.

Having some FAQs are an excellent idea, but should be placed on the main site or somewhere in the forums that are visible to everyone.
There could be FAQs about many issues, not only begginers.
-3D
-API
etc.
**PS:
Another point is that many links inside the forums are brooken. When you read some answer that links to other answer.. the link are brooken.

I agree with the idea of a public list... but its boring to write this again and again, even that this topic was disused so very often... i can only hope for all that we will have somewhere in future such a public list available for all. I am still looking forward

So are you saying there is a FAQ containing current PB bugs?
If so, where is it please?

No there isn't, but I was pointing out that a FAQ here isn't always
going to get read anyway, and people will still ask the same stuff.
