Back in the early 90s, one of Borland's main products was C++ for DOS, which used a very particular syntax color scheme. I was so fond of this color scheme that I still use it today with PureBasic:

I think it is cool, and brings back fond memories too...

...but will likely never use it!

On a serious note, I don't associate the color scheme with C or C++. I use it for any BASIC-like language whenever possible. For me personally, the blue background is quite relaxing, especially when programming for a couple of hours.

You are not the only one ! I use a very similar scheme, adopted by the 1st BlitzBasic language for Windows and I use it in PureBasic and other languages. It uses blue as background, several colours like yours and a fixed sized font called Blitz. I use it in PureBasic editor, editor for PHP, etc... FireDragonSDK, etc... I'll give a try to your scheme ! Which font do you use ?

On Linux I use 'Courier 10 pitch', which I believe is close to 'Courier' on Windows (not 'Courier New').

This looks good. Gota try , currently using Visual Studio one in PB along with brightness and gamma quite low, my eyes are very bad...
Ok NOT loving it , my eyes instantly started to hurt...

It's awful Mine is white bg, black code, blue comments, font is courier.
