[Resolved] Joystick axis issue remains

For some reason I can not find the last post about the joystick axis issue but it seems to still remain.

I have a user who's having issues with the joystick axis going left all the time. It may be that PB needs to list the actual axis values instead of a 1, 0 or -1. So this way, we can fix it ourselves instead of having to post a bug and wait for an update.

Waiting for feedback now from the user to see what kind of gamepad they're using. Although that's not going to help me much, since I can not adjust the offset values myself.

I think someone deleted that thread.... (because I posted in it too and can't find my own post)..... I don't know why.

Personally I wish the joystick library would be updated to return analog/float joystick values. Then we could handle calibration, deadzones, up/down/left/right thresholds, etc. however we want. I've noticed my Logitech joystick works on both Windows and Linux (no Mac to try) however the tilt threshold that triggers a +1 or -1 seems different between the two OSes.

It appears that the users axis is working fine now. Not sure how but whatever. Now an issue remains with buttons. Any way, it would be nice to see axis values other then 1, 0 and -1 when and if there is a Z axis added.

Do you need a test lib with some output so we can try to fix it ?

The guy quit responding to the issue on my forum, so I'm not sure. I will contact him again and see if he responds. Thanks Fred. ;)
