[4.61 b1 x86] Compiler slow - Solved No Bug

Since installing 4.61 beta1 pressing the gear icon in the ide for compile/run results in much longer wait time for even a short program than previously. I checked my cpu usage, it was near zero before pressing, so nothing was lagging my system. Anyone else notice this?
[edit] Only with debugger enabled, without it the speed is as before. But the debugger wasn't slow before either.

Nothing wrong here.
Tested 15000 lines of code, with and without Purifier, debugger On, compiled in less than 1 second.
Win7 32 Sp1
DualCore Intel Pentium D 820, 2800 MHz (14 x 200)

I'm just guessing here, but do you have Microsoft Security Essentials installed? It does that to me sometimes. I have to turn off the realtime scan and then everything is fine again.

Yes, thanks Trond that was it. Turned off realtime protection and response was immediate, turned it back on and the delay came back. I don't think I'd have thought of that on my own

I've noticed this issue since PB 4.5 and thought is was just something I had installed which was slowing things down.
Fixed now; thanks Trond.

I was in South America on holidays and I was getting frustrated
with the speed of PureBasic on my laptop. (I was beginning to think I needed a faster machine)
When I returned, I noticed the same on my home computer. It's a i7-2600k with an SSD drive, so I
knew it it had to be PureBasic.
I tried every possible compiler option to try and increase my compile speed.
I ended up using 'Revo Uninstaller' to remove PureBasic and clean the registry.
Re-installed latest version and still the same.. so I came here! (should have done that first.
Within 5 minutes everything on the laptop and home unit were FAST!
So thank you very much, I love you guys
PS - I will add this to a feature request... perhaps Fred will notice.
