Reverse R-Type engine :P

One day I asked my friend, "Hey, I haven't programmed in a while. Give me a task, please." and he retorted, "Make a 3D Action Adventure High Definition DirectX11 game.". I quickly replied, "WTF?? I just learned that 1+1 was not 3.". And so he changed his answer to, "Uhh... Okay, write a scrolling shooter game.".

And so, I wrote one. It's not much but the source code is clean and managed. Which is an excellent skill to learn :mrgreen:

There is only about 600 lines of code in this thus far.
On my craptop there is a flicker, I don't know if this is just because it's a really bad laptop or if I did anything wrong. Can anyone tell me if they notice a flicker within sprites when a collision or enemy goes out of screen?

Controls:
Keyboard -
Left Shift = fire
directional keys to move
1 and 2 to change weapon
escape to quit

Gamepad -
Direction or joystick 1 to move
button 10 to exit
button 3 to fire
button 5 and 6 to change weapon

GOOD Attempt.......One things I like to point out is that the Bullets should forward ....not Backward! lol :)

Ah yes, the Switch Default bullet! Change the weapon type with button 1 or 2 on the keyboard. :mrgreen:

No flicker, but looks weird and seems to be too fast.

I can not close the window with the close button and
ESCAPE works only while playing, not on the screen where
it says "Game Over".
