Burn in Hell AMD...

A few years ago I built my first Intel based system. Previously I had always run AMD chips because they were cheap, and fairly good chips overall. I really liked my Intel system, it always seemed a bit snappier in general than my previous systems.
I have the bad luck/habit of always investing in dead socket platforms. When I got my Core 2 Duo, LGA775 would be put to rest soon after, and we've seen 1366 come and fade, and now LGA1156 or w/e Intels new socket base is.. I couldn't afford to upgrade to new Intel parts because they are so damn expensive.. So I chose AMD this time.
I had to do a "big 3" Mobo/CPU/RAM since all my stuff was years old, and my ram was DDR2. Everyone uses DDR3 now
I had actually looked forward to giving AMD another go-round, for a little over $400 I got myself an Asus Sabertooth 990FX Motherboard, which is Socket AM3+ and supports Bulldozer. I got 8GB of Muskin DDR3 to replace the 8GB DDR2 I had, and I bought a Phenom II x4 925 Deneb, which happily runs @ 3.5Ghz currently, thanks to my Noctua NH-U12P SE2 (My Intel has the original U12P).
I kind of wish I had just splurge for the Phenom II x6, and nixed the overnight shipping.. All the Bulldozer reviews are painful to read, very painful.. Delay after Delay, promises of revolutionary performance from AMD's first brand new architecture since the Athlon 64 chip....
I can only hope further revisions of the Bulldozer (Fusion?) will feature much better improvements, and still be usable in my AM3+ socket
I could have spent half the money I did on my new system, and just bought a Core 2 Quad w/12MB cache and probably gotten the same performance boost as my current rig provides... I am starting to regret not sucking it up and saving every last penny possible, to continue buying Intel.. Not very happy with my AMD/Radeon GPU either but that is another matter entirely, and not worth ranting about right now.
