It's just a "mistake", say Microsoft. Yeah, right! The only "mistake" is that you got caught.
Another reason NOT to use Microsoft Security Essentials.

Google is the biggest spy on earth (or is it facebook now?), so it is logical
to mark its software as malicious software, isn't it?

Okay, lets continue this flamewar.
I like Google, as the online tools are far better than any other email client/start page/... for the browser. Although Google is a very big company you don't hear much about security issues concerning Google, do you?

The (english)
Bing page is much better! I also like their really great
weather page which unfortunately isn't possible to visit when the language is set to German or something else... (
how stupid are they? limiting the access to the good Bing version to USA and giving us the not-usable, crap version
)

It's stupid how there's this irrational fear of big companies these days. Nothing wrong with becoming big. Innocent until proven guilty.

I mean the personalized start page, not the usual one. Do you have a notepad on your start page where you can enter your todo list and it will be synchronized over all your computers as it is stored online? Or an RSS Feed reader? E-Mail widget? A calendar?

Programs are written by people, people make mistakes, including you....
Should your employer stop using you by terminating your job just because you made a mistake?

Yes, but come on... one company wipes out the competition's product by "mistake"? You're naive, my friend.

Actually, people do get fired for making the simplest of mistakes. That's what happens in business. I'm starting to think you're just a young'un, right?

That's why I never want a job. One small mistake and the life ended.

Nope, not even close.
(You can make all the wild assumptions about me you want, I'll keep my assumptions about you to myself)

Other well-known antivirus software flags clean software all the time. A few weeks ago AVG or the like crashed PCs by deleting some Microsoft system files. Even Norton tends to flag our PureBasic executables for no reason...

By posting that, you just didn't.

FWIW, I didn't mean any offense by my comment. I was just musing.

Norton is a virus itself.
@MachineCode
There is no fear against big companies ... it is well known that Google as Facebook are
using all the data they can get. Why do you think has Google started google+ over and
over again, since it success. I respect the work that Google does. And the quality there
work has. But i didn't trust Google, so i avoid there programs. I only use Google as
search engine, YouTube and i need to admit ... Google Earth. Btw. Google Earth disappeared
2 times from my PC, after i deactivated Google Update, it was totaly removed from my hdd

Now if MSE would also remove Internet Explorer, Java and Flash from all systems...
