OK I have been seeing the BAIDU SPIDER BOT listed as being on this board. I had to BAN this bot form my website as it was fueling attempted breakins and SPAM...

I wonder if someone in China hasn't created a fake version of Baidu and is using it to attempt to harvest data from PB???

Only if the bot were to use the same IP or username.
Otherwise it woud be a massive bug in phpbb.

I've noticed a lot of strange traffic coming from China @ wtfpotd.com lately also.
Ive banned the majority of IPs from China from accessing the site at all - with the
exception of some Static IP Addresses which belong to friends there.

You can also use this (chinese) service to look up locations rather quickly.
