misc about Bugs [done]

Fred, I see you guys post new releases every several months. Do you post unannounced intermediate bugfixes between official releases? If not, does that mean that for intermediate bugs, we must find a work-around until the next release? Looking at the release history, I'd presume a release would be announced within 1-3 months.
I'm not trying to harass you or be critical, just trying to understand how it will work.

When the bug gets fixed it will be noted as fixed in this thread and will be included in the next release.
so yes you will need to use a work around to avoid it in the mean time.

thanks, Idle. So, we have to open each bug thread to see if it's addressed? The threads are not locked, or otherwise marked to see which bugs are active, and which will be fixed next? There are over 30 postings alone since the last release in September. That's a lot of threads to sort through!

I know the devs mark 'fixed' bugs with 'FIXED'. Perhaps they could mark known bugs which are not yet fixed with 'CONFIRMED'? (Though I seem to vaguely
recall Fred thought even FIXED or DONE was too many letters
)
Clearly the original bug poster should not mark his email as 'CONFIRMED'

Well, maybe in theory, but clearly that alone is not an accurate test--there are only two thread titles marked [Done] on the most recent 5 pages of bug reports...and that goes back to April.

Because those which are done and released are deleted after a while. Before a new release you will see a lot of [Done]s, then they will be cleaned up. So the bugs fixed for 4.51 don't show.
