How to give someone a new PB license as a gift??

Guten Abend!
How can I buy a licence for a member on this forums if I want to?
I hate donate buttons, but I might support the team by buying licenses for forum members that
are stuck with the demo, but how?
I don't wan't to transfer money directly to them, for obvious reasons.
'them' in this context isn't the team, but the user. If I transfer money directly to them, they might
grab them and spend it in their local tittie-bar instead...

Hi,
I think it could be done the easiest way, when you first send
your nice offering
to the person you'd like to support and ask him for his full name, address and e-mail-adress.
Then you could order a version with this infos and pay online or offline. I don't think it matters by whom the money is transferred.
The registration confirmation, first password and activating link will then be send to that e-mail and it's up to the receiver to grab it
This way you'll need the faith of the lucky guy that you don't misuse his personal dates.
greetings ~ Vera

I believe the simplest way is to enter the recipient's information on the first page that is part of the PureBasic site as this information is for the license holder.
Then use your own information on the payment site (PayPal or PaySite) as this is the billing informaiton.
You might also want to leave a note in the notes field on the first page to let Fred or whomever handles the orders know what you are doing.

Since the Team didn't come down from their Ivory tower to answer this, I feel it was a bad idea.
Maybe they fear people would share the licence with everyone if they got it for free, or something.

I don't think it's a bad idea to be generous with someone who is stuck
Likewise there is no automatic coincidence between the inability of raising the required sum or signing of a contracts and being dishonest.
Somehow the feature of a gift coupon is missing so it's just a natural question to ask how it could be achieved. Unfortunately the above mentioned precedures have not yet been confirmed or rejected so you're stuck as well.
On the other side you could test it and if it fails you've made an unintended donation
Besides how many licenses would / could you support per year? And what about the idea to make it a code-competition ?
(just thinking aloud)

I must admit, when I first read your post I was a little surprised that you were willing to put yourself into the "firing line" to get just about everybody with a demo/warez version emailing you claiming financial hardship and wanting you to buy them all a licence.
I mean, If you have spare dollars and are willing to give them away? then that is your choice, and I think it is very kind and generous. But I think people may abuse your generosity if you aren't careful.
Perhaps it may have been a better idea to contact the team directly rather than publicly?

That maybe.. but I thought it might be an idea for others with some extra dollars to spend too, so
i posted it here.
I can read, so I know how to use their ordering system, but I don't wan't to know peoples real name, address, or email, in order to do this.
I thought that was obvious, so I asked! But this is not a big deal at all, move on people
I'm going to use my extra dollars for a big bottle of Vodka instead. And a pair of EasyGrip snowchains.
