Hi.
Can anyone confirm that the debugger behaves differently on Windows 7 when debugging Tabs, Linefeeds Carriagereturn?
On XP it looks like this (This is
PB's screenshot, I hope you don't mind)
But on my Windows 7 it looks like this:
So is this confirmative, or is there something wrong with my PB installation?

It's due to the font selected.

Hm. I tried several fonts for the debugger. But it's still not showing up.
Courier, Courier New, Arial, some Calligraph style...

That's because Microsoft removed invisible characters from popular fonts in Windows Vista.

Ah. Thanks.
Then I'll try to get an appropriate font for the debugger.
Right now I've got one that shows the characters as spaces. Not quite happy.
Any tipps?
Otherwise I'll have to make one myself.

Hi TomS,
maybe a
ProggyFont
Lately I came across a GNU Project with a well developed opensource
FreeFont that's worth regarding
(incl. a lot of maths and even BlackBold characters).
(choose 'Downloadbereich' to see all versions)
cheers ~ Vera

I tried several fonts from proggyfonts.com but they didn't show those characters either.
cas pointed out to me that "terminal" shows symbols. But those are a circle Chr(9), that same circle inverted (white on black background) for Chr(10) and a musical note for Chr(13).
I wanted to create my own font, but fontstruct doesn't allow editing this ascii-range
I downloaded what I think was the latest zip (freefont-otf-20100919) from this gnu project, but those fonts also show only a few characters from 1 to 31. 9 and 13 are just plain empty.
Thanks anyway. Do you all still use XP?

I didn't know it's exactly for these - I'll have a look what a fontviewer will show me about my fonts

yes, and with every new info about the newer Wins I'm even more convinced to stay.
But that just got me an idea -
why not use the 'old' WIN-fonts from XP ?
(shall I send you the one or the other ?)
