Linker Errors: SOLVED

iMac G4 (PPC) OSX 10.4.11
I have installed XCode 2.2.1 to the hard disk and have PB 4.51 and my source on a USB drive. When I try to compile, I get several Linker Errors all of which end with rerun ranlib(1) (can't load from it).
How do I fix this?
SOLVED: Installing XCode 2.5 (which I had missed earlier on the Mac Developer site) fixed this.
