Seem that Avast have hit on a novel way to get people to download updates. Do you want to switch to a Pirate talk

Arrrr Mateys... I was personal adjustin my ttime clock for idle who is shivverin his timbers across the date line... That way I gets 2 days o pirate banter arrrr!!!

And for those of you who use Avast anti-virus, v5 is out. And no your v4.8 won't auto update to v5, you have to do that yourself.

Shiverin me timbers wood be right, 900 yards (300 meters) of lumber just turned up, so it's idle hands put to the devils work as me crew have scarpered and no one left to build me my deck. Arrrrrgh

That is because v5 is not an update, it is an upgrade.

True, however v4.8 doesn't telly you that an upgrade is available. I would still not know that v5 was out had I not visited their web site.

As far as AVAST I had to set my password then use it to upgrade... No issues and no problems!

ok let me get somethings straight right now..

1. I don't need to be a forum moderator to point out things that i see are trying to change the plot of the thread from what it originally started as .. simply because Avast is a pirate word.. and that even the first post might have been a spam too.. that others may have inadvertantly replyed to the topic there of.. which has nothing to do with the antivirus software but " talk like a Pirate Day"

2. If i was a moderator your reply about the antivirus program would have been deleted and you would have gotten a private warning

3. this IS a Purebasuc forum.. not an antivirus support forum..

4. I am just a member here like you and most others.. when i see something i think is wrong i say I think its wrong..

5. I didn't mean to sart an argument or get under anyones skin.. or anything like that.

6. I just wanted to keep this thread on the funnt side about talking like a pirate which is what the topic title is..

Come on, people. This forum is about the art of coding, not the art of flaming. (I wonder if there's a forum dedicated to that...)
