You are popping these games out faster than my factory cat makes kittens!
I am downloading the game now, it looks like a lot a fun. I really enjoyed your past games so I can't wait for this one!
[edit] I couldn't get it to run on my laptop, the window would open and do nothing.

strange...did the last game work on your laptop?
the engine is the same ("LUCY") .
But I´m changing the tileset now, maybe there is too mouch video memory used???? I do not know.
About the developing speed: "LUCY" is the base and grows with every game I work on

New Version of PARASITE online.
Changelog PARASITE Version 0.2 Developer-Sandbox17.09.2010
Updates:
Game:
Graphicsstyle.
Titlescreen added.
Gameoverscreen added.
Player healthbar added.
(Player can die!!!!)
Player-Pistol--Ammo- Info added.
Sound and GFX update
.Enemies: Zombies instead of skulls.
Player-Weapon update: Pistol: 25 Rounds.
„Dead“ zombie can support player with ammo or health.
Zombie AI a bit optimized.
Day/Night period optimized and supported with more soundeffects.
Engine: Keyboard Input Fixed (there was a bad handling of the keyboard keys under some situations) all game used keyboard keys mapped to joystick buttons

That can happen on laptops with older graphic cards when the images for the game are not square, 64x64, 128x128, 256x256, and so on. Or the textures are larger then the graphics card supports. If the texture is 1536x1536 and your graphics card only supports 1024x1024, it will not load.
Oh, and the game looks cool.

Update:
Bigger Sandbox. New enemies.Gfx update. Try to kill the "testboss" in the north of the map.
the "PARASITEPLANT" can be killed in daylight, using your pistol. move over firstaid and ammo crates to keep your "Trooper" alive.
use
Joypad for optimal control or keyboard.
some debuginfos: Keyboard [D]
HP Text and energybar: Keyboard [H]

Finally I made it (a small 6 Map Demo)
Goal of the Demo/Game:
Kill all "Parasite-Plants", to go on with other MAP section (Flashing red arrows show you the way, to use them you have to kill the "Parasite-Plants")
this demo will exit after MAP-Section 6
Changes:
"Parasite" was renamed as "Plastic Zombies"
Intro.
Music.
IngameGUI
More SGFX (explosions/multiple explosions, interaction between all objects not player->object/object->player only)
Transport Objects ( introduced in MAP 4)
Faster.
Manual is included in the archive (DOC/index.html)

Update and changes:
Smoothing, Statistics, Profilesystem.
Goal oif the game:
Kill all "parasite-plants" to open the way to the next map.
red arrows showing the exits/entries, but you have to kill all "parasite-plants" to use the arrows.
Gamename changed from "Plastic Zombies" back to "PARASITE".
workaround for the player profile system:
please delete all profilename.pro files in the profile-directory, so you can start with a clean one.
if you want to add a profile, please save a file named yourprofilename.pro.
you will e able to select this profil at game start.
in next relases all profilemanagement will be included in the engine.
