Anyone used google Checkout as a seller?

Well that's it really - has anyone had experiences they can share of google checkout as a seller?

Any gotchas? Is it good / bad? Do your customers use it happily?

For me - I want to keep my eBay / Paypal transactions -very- separate from the stuff I sell through my website (dance workshops) I figure google has a strong enough *brand-name* for people to accept it as a reputable intermediary to hand over their credit card details...

I use it along with PayPal. It used to be cheaper but they've since raised their rates to be comparable.

No complaints. They clear your account (send the cleared payments to your bank) automatically - no request necessary.

People seem to prefer PayPal, or maybe just more folks already have it. I get about 3 or 4 payments via PayPal for each one in Google.

cheers

As a consumer, I would never pay via Google and I have not bought products I really wanted because the seller only used Google checkout.

As a customer I used Google once without any problem.

I have used google checkout many times with no issues. It really doesn't matter to me which.

You can make a seperate email and then set up a new paypal account for your workshops though... easy enough to do! :D

Thanks for the comments guys, I set up my store and got it all on line and working - got my wife to do a test transaction (you're not allowed to buy from yourself) so it's all working. Piece of cake - well done google...

@Kuron: Out of curiosity, why are you so against Google Checkout?
