I am having Sound FX issues and I don't really think they are PB related!

I have coded several games in PB 4.1 and 4.3... they all run fine in 4.4+ but no sound effect (WAV File) works!

They stream the background audo music fine! I am thinking it is the mono/size of the sound file. Atttempting WAV upgrade correction now.

I wear boots especially to prevent that issue!

Nope I can get no sound... no WAV file will play. I get a thump.

Thing is... The windows sounds play normally! File DL and etc..

I am going to reinstall the Audigy driver and then attempt to use one of those in my program.

CAn some of you guys test this:

You should hear the music and in game SoundFX like the ticking of a clock and explosions!!!

Works for me, XP Pro.

I heard a while back that some sound effects don't play if they are smaller than the available sound buffer.

I know I had a problem playing some tiny WAVs in Winamp or similar before.

I don't know if it's a problem with your sound card, operating system, or software..... but you could try adding on a second or two of silence padding to the sound file and see if it plays.

Nice game.

Works fine here. Music, FX and ticking clock sound.
