As far as I know you can do everything you want. Only the ability to use API Commands is limited.
Or, Fred, is there a limit of Sourcecode length?
On your state, I would order the full version to get the latest Updates which are very importend for stable programms. PureBasic is worth to buy!

The manual says:
"The demo-version of PureBasic is limited as shown below :
- No DLL can be created
- you can't use the whole external Win32 API support
- no development kit for external libraries
- maximum number of source lines: 200"
