Parallels with Leopard Server

Post by jamirokwai »

Dear board,

I am excited :-)
Why? - Because I found a workaround for this: http://www.purebasic.fr/english/viewtop ... 81#p298902

The company I work for has a licence of Mac OS X Leopard Server. Parallels 5.0 supports this one as a guest. On my private MacBook, I installed Snow Leopad from the first day on, I could put my greedy hands on it... The problem is, Leopard-compiled PB-programs work on Snow Leopard, but not always vice versa. So I am forced to maintain a 2nd MacBook (the one from my company) with Leopard... My Boss already told me to upgrade, but ...

What I did to solve this:
1. download and install Parallels 5 Trial (which you can get at http://www.mupromo.com for a good prize at the moment)
2. install Mac OS X Leopard Server (hm, expensive)
3. download and install XCode 314 for Leopard (free)
4. install PureBasic (Demo for free or your registred copy like I did)
5. compile with Leopard
6. Yeah!

It'd be better, if VirtualBox supported Mac OS X as a guest... Time will see...

For now, without Parallels 5 and Leopard Server you need to use illegal techniques.
Please, don't tell me about it.
Regards,
