Cheetah Database DLL is now an open source project located at http://cheetahdatabase.sourceforge.net/

Wondering if any of the wonderful (and probably very busy) Purebasic SuperGod's might be interested in or able to create a wrapper for the Cheetah4.dll.

I have looked at the Cheetah2.dll wrapper and have compared it with the Powerbasic and Freebasic routines that are provided for the Cheetah4.dll and while I think I could make a new wrapper, due to my limited ability to "see" memory manipulation via pointers et al feel that I would probably just create a huge mess. I am sure there are others out there who would benefit from the wrapper, however, I am willing to negotiate payment for the work under some specific terms.

If you are one of the few Purebasic SuperGod's willing to do this THANK YOU. Please post a reply stating the fact that you are working on it so that I do not get too many people doing the same thing.

Downloaded the package and begun to write a wrapper.. but.. if i try to compile the wrapper .. i get a linker error: Invalid Machine Type in Object 'Cheetah4.dll'

I'm using winxp 32bit ... so the hell for what kind of system is the dll intended for?
maybe only the download is corrupt.. but the last change on that was back in 2007 ..... so forget about that.. and use the pretty solid sqlite engine provided by PureBasic ...

I will just continue to use the Cheetah2.dll even though it has disappeared from the web I at least have all of it's components and it works pretty good.

Was just hoping to use the Cheetah4.dll one day since it is suppose to be much faster.

Where can I get a copy of Cheetah2.dll? I've also waited and hoped for a guru to build an effective wrapper for DBF access. I attempted to use Purebasic some time ago to write Clipper type code, but finally gave up and switched to MiniGui (xHarbour). I would like to use the power of Purebasic graphics and avoid opensource GNU licensing. What I need are the basic dBase/Clipper commands for opening, indexing, filtering, etc. My systems are not easily written with SQL.
