Where is PB 4.42 ?

In the last couple of weeks there were thousands of bug fixes and some of them are important for me so why don't we get another bug fix release?
I remember you said that the release cycles should be shorter now and you improved something in the internal compiling process etc. so that it's faster to manage all the packages.
There doesn't have to be a beta because that would be ridiculous. Just releasing the current fixes would be totally fine.
Because there wouldn't be a beta you could then focus again on what you are doing right now without having to interrupt it...
Sorry, I don't want to annoy you (I think of Freak ranting again

) but it's not totally clear to me.

The latest bugfixes were made in the 4.50 branch of the code. We cannot release another 4.4x with them.
Don't worry, the 4.50 release will not take as long as the 4.40 one

c4s, I was expecting a PB 4.42 as well given the volume of bug fixes recently.
Good news from Freak though that 4.50 will be coming soon.
Maybe this summer? Fingers crossed.

Well, that's good and bad at the same time.
I hope in the future you will be able to release these bug fixes faster and it's just this way for 4.50.
Anyway, great that 4.50 will come soon!

Perhaps when Fixing any bug etc., when updating the threads with the 'Fixed' post, could you add the first release version that the fix will be applied in.

The only thing that changed is that we are doing some bugfixing inbetween the new development as opposed to doing it all after as in previous releases. That doesn't change our release schedule though. We cannot do a new release for every bug we fix.

Its always the next public release.

For me the anticipation is not so much that I want the next version of PB released right away, it's more that I'm curious to know about the development. So I'd love it if the blog was updated more often!

For example, it was great reading about the updates to alpha drawing when v4.4 was in the works.
