You might want to try contacting the company before you order via the ShareIt page to make sure orders are still being filled. Idigicon went into administration in September 2009.

Hello Kuron
Good advice. Since the link is for Digital River Share-It, I thought this was a download version of the book, but they do in fact list it for 'physical' delivery, i.e. posting. I have written to Lorelei Logsdon to ask her for clarification. It is possible that Digital River have the book in stock, or it is printed on demand, I do not know but I have emailed them too.

The book was written by John Logsdon. Lorelei is his wife. Also, IIRC, the book was not POD (print on demand) and was only sold via Idigicon. John, never sold it directly, AFAIK. You should check with Idigicon directly.
"Administration" is a bit different from "Bankruptcy" here in the states. Idigicon's site is still functional:
http://idigicon.com and they likely still have copies of the book. But, you should check to be safe. I am not sure how "administration" affects sales and order fulfillment.
Although very dated, it is a very good book on PB and worth having. I hope you can secure a copy. I have two copies sitting on my shelf next to two copies of John's other book on BlitzBasic. I guess both are collectibles now

Hi again
Yes, we know John Logsdon wrote the book. Lorelei Logsdon was the book's editor and it is her website that has a direct link to Digital River.
A very quick and encouraging response from Idigicon:
The company
The Idigicon brand, assets and website are now owned by a new company. There should not have been any impact to our customers during the move.
The book
In it's day it was a really good book. Unfortunately, it became out of date with the newer versions of Purebasic (good news for us PB coders, but not for a printed book) and was removed from the site.
I'm sure there are a few left though. I'll find out tomorrow and if there are I'll sort a special deal for anyone on the Purebasic site who wants a copy. I still have my own copy along with the Blitz Basic version Krylar did.
I did do an update to all the source code and examples that come with the book. I'll see if I can dig those out as well.
Idigicon are based in the UK.

The latest news from Steve (Idigicon) is good news:
There are a couple of small boxes of the books left. If anyone would like to purchase a book, note that it does not have a CD and does not have any support.
Purchase details:
UK orders £6
Rest of world £10
That is the one off cost (no cd or support) and includes postage. First come, first served.
Emails to
pbbook@gmjlicensing.com to include name, full address and email address. You will receive a PayPal request email in response.
About the book: It is not up to date, being based on PB v3.93. The title is a bit misleading because it is much more than a book on 2D scrolling Games (code for a complete side-scrolling game), it also includes a well-written and easy to understand intro on programming with PB. Paperback, 310 pages, approx A5 paper size.

the reason for MY post was void, because it was the answer to a posting that was deleted later.
I couldn't delete my own post in the first, because there was a whole second topic following wich is split now.
I could also have filled up my post with "***" or anything.
understand now?
