[Bug Alpha 17 build 1621 Windows]

I've been using the old visual designer for years, and although not perfect.. worked. The new one looks great but I can't even use it because of the bugs.. gah, here goes..

- Gadgets are missing(?) from the 'add gadget' panel on the left, there's no MenuBar gadget for example (I see 5 rows of 6 buttons, starting with ButtonGadget, and ending with Scintilla.. is this right!?)

- When I try to compile/run I get 'POLINK: Fatal Error - Access Denied' in the console window.

- When I have 'Use MDI' deselected (in preferences) I can't type in a window width/height. It just borks the input and refuses to change.

I'm about to revert back to the old VD, but I really need the new Scintilla goodness of PB4, so it's a dilemma.

(Windows Vista Enterprise, Using Aero Theme)

Thanks!

Edit to add: I'm new to the forums, so if anyone can point me to an alternative VD that uses all the latest PB4 gadgets etc.. as I don't know what's available etc..

There are several visual designers available for Purebasic (in alphabetical order) :
- gDesign editor plugin (free)
- PBDev (free [non commercial use] / shareware [commercial use])
- PureFORM (free)
- PureVision (shareware)
- Visual Purebasic IDE (free, unfinished ?)
- ... ?
I would say the best one is the tool that suits your needs.

Thanks, I'll try a few of the alternatives on your list.
