You can try out my crossword creator, it's not finished yet but the basics are there. The help isn't written yet but it should be fairly intuitive.

Great! I like the simplicity and ergonomics of your program and I will be user when it will be completed. How to save the contents of "Clues DOWN" and "Clues ACCCROSS" ?

You can save the whole puzzle from a menu item. I'll be doing more on it today including help. I'm glad you like it!

Hello netmaestro,
I like the challenge of trying to setup a crossword-puzzle instead of solving it

- what a nice idea of you.
So I curiously tried your 1st version and quickly found out how to handle it.
After a while I'd like to have the look of it, but as I've got no printer I tried to save it as a single file via PDF-printer - but that didn't work. Is there any other way to somehow get a view/ picture of the crosswort and hints ?
greetings ~ Vera

Currrently not yet but what I do for now is use the CutePDF print driver available for free download on the net. When you get the print requester, you can choose the CutePDF writer and it will print the puzzle to a nice PDF file and save it for you. It really works a treat.

Hi netmaestro,
thanks for your hint
While reading it I realised, as I did try it with a pdf-printer (PFDcreator), that I have missed to uncheck the 'send to single file' option - without it good pdfs can be made. Still I'll have a closer look at your referenced prog some later time.
One thing I found is, that you only get an output including the tiny numbers when the clue-tab has the focus.
Besides this the footer is printed in line 12 (right side) within the puzzle (I used 16x16).
And a request I would have is about resizing the GUI, as it uses too much space on my screen which makes it quite uncomfortable when switching between applications.
greetings - Vera
