Anyone know you can buy 'World of Goo' for whatever price you like until this Sunday (25th October)?
See:

Word of warning: From the videos it looks great, but with my setup it just went a little crazy... I've emailed the support for the game about it.
My setup is a little unusual though, 2 screens running Windows 7x64. Hope they can fix it 'cause the game looks amazing.
Edit: Just tried it on another Win7 PC, this one has only 1 screen - it works fine on that one.

World of Goo is awesome, easily the best indi game I've ever played, in fact we shouldn't say it's an indi game at all, because that suggest some sort of sub-professional aspects to it.
I completed it a while ago, and used to go back and try and make a massive tower - but haven't installed it since my last reinstall. I'm wondering and waiting on the next game. If this bargain bin pricing means that 2D Boy are getting ready to roll out their next offering, then I'd buy it again if it would hurry them up

.

They are coding it for the iPhone, that should at least make them the money they deserve for the game. Pity it doesn't work on my main machine (not tried it as a Mac though yet).

Maybe it's just me, but I found the game pretty boring. I was playing Fantastic Contraption and someone suggested I try World of Goo. Don't get me wrong, I think the game looks great but it just doesn't appeal to me.

Nice little game, has a certain novelty factor just like Crayon Physics.

Found a fix for the game - just made it go into windowed mode (alt-enter)!

Not just you.

I tried it a few months ago and uninstalled it about 5 minutes later.

Same here though it probably took me about 30 minutes to get bored with it before uninstalling it.
The one mistake 2boy made was not considering the transaction fees, any purchase under 30 to 40 cents costs them money. If it had been me, I'd have set the minimum price to at least break even with the transaction costs.
I also think that most of the people that paid a penny were just being cheap and lied about what they thought it was worth and will probably never even play the game. But that's just me and my opinion.

It's a donation, are you still charged a minimum fee for donations?

According to PayPal the same transaction fees that would normally apply, also apply to donations.
