Darkbasic Bonanza!

Post by byo »

TGC is going crazy. US$ 49 for all this? It's cheaper than the DarkGDK. :D

Sorry if someone has already posted this.
And if you wish, grab a copy, will you?

Holly crap that's a good deal and even though I already have a few pieces of it, I'm grabbing that because everything I don't have would be well over $50.

PureBasic is great but DarkBasic is much better for writing games.

I also grabbed their FPS Creator Bonanza just to get all the model packs that was in it.

Hmm... it seems to me that some people get too defensive when you talk about other languages. Purebasic forever and I agree with you. But this is another tool and you can even use it inside Purebasic with PureGDK. So it's not a sin.

Purebasic is still amazing and will ever be for what it does.

EDIT: Sorry, this sounded harsh. Just cheer up guys. 8)

That is an amazing deal! And for those of you who don't know, all of the plugins it comes with: Dark Physics, Dark Lights, Dark AI, and Extends are all supported by PureGDK.

No, definitely not a sin to use something else, but if you already have PureBasic, why bother? 8)

This bundle and PureGDK would make an ultimate couple, and for roughly 100 USD not really to beat. My take is just that if you're after game development anyway, you would probably have DarkBASIC already (or Blitz for example). Sorry if someone felt offended by this comment.

They are either desperate for money or they have a new product waiting to be released.

Well, they said it's for a limited time. Let's see.

When I first saw the ad I frowned a little (and I'm still frowning now).
But seeing as the last update is 7.4 which is from July 23rd it's good enough for me.

I think Purebasic > Darkbasic big time but if they can work together in a project then it's a win/win situation.

It includes DarkGDK (C++) for personal use. I don't think it's the commercial license.
