U3 Applications

I have just been playing around with 1 of my thumbdrives which has a U3 launchpad on it. I have never bothered too much with the whole launchpad thing before, but have just been thinking it could be handy for a few small apps I have written to be able to be run from this launchpad idea.
I have played around a little with a couple of my apps & now have them packaged for installation to the U3 launchpad & it works quite nicely.
Another of my apps I have toyed with appears to need some modification to allow correct read / write, etc of an sqlite database.
Just wondering if any of you have used this U3 idea at all & if so, what do you think of it?
