Designer's Layout

When I click on the designer its parts come up all over the screen,possible remedy? Also if you you use Visual Designer do you have to use visual designer to write the complete program?
There are several alternative visual designers out there. www.purearea.net lists a few and a FORUM SEARCH will reveal a few others.
I recall one that looked a great deal like the VB interface. Name escapes me at the moment.
You don't really have to use any of them, you can simply hard code it.
OR
You could write your own.
