COMatePLUS for PB x64 - test version

Hi,

having just reinstalled Vista 64, I have been finally able to take a look at COMatePLUS running under Purebasic 4.3 x64. I am of course striving to ensure that we have just a single source which will run with both PB 32 and PB 64.

Initial attempts to get COMatePLUS running with PB x64 were a complete and utter failure! :)

Long story short; massive problems with the error reporting which would fool an application into thinking all was okay when in fact objects were not being instantiated etc. and a few hundred or so additional problems which I will not mention around these parts!

I have tested this new version as much as I can, but with my Vista 64 install being in its infancy I have very few automation servers (and ready code) which I can test against. Hence I am providing a link to an early test version of COMatePLUS which runs fine with PB 32 but needs lots more testing with PB 64. I have not added this to the main COMatePLUS thread so as to keep that for general applications of COMatePLUS etc.

To all who can help with the testing... thank-you. :)

@ts-soft, I believe you have some early tests which you tried with PB 64. Care to try again? :)

Well, I have concluded my tests with PB 64 and I can find nothing amis. The only ActiveX control I have tested is the web-gadget and those demos I have been able to test (without an internet connection on Vista 64) have run fine - including the use of eventsinks etc.

At this point I am tempted now to switch over to this version of COMatePLUS as the 'official' version for both PB x86 and x64.

I'll give it another day or so.

Aye, thanks. I have a few minor adjustments to make and need to test with PB 4.3 beta 2 but other than that it is looking good. :)
