PureBasic for casual game development

Hi there!
I'm currently looking for a game engine or game programming language that is suitable for development of casual games. Those games will probably be distributed by portals like Big Fish Games. There are a lot of options but my problem is this:
I switched to Mac (the latest Mac mini with Nvidia chipset) so the development platform and compiled games would have to run on Mac OS X. I also have access to a Windows laptop 2 days per week to compile the Windows versions of the game but the main dev platform is Mac OS X.
