This is one of the biggest handicap TV3D v6.5.
The documentation is almost nonexistent at the moment, and often rely on the official forum of TV3D to really fully
understand the engine.
This is unfortunate because it is an engine with strong potential.
To import content into TV3D, there are tools (like plugins), to obtain it, you should download the package on the official site TV3D.

The documentation is absolutely abismal for TV3D probably because it's in enternal pre-release, i mean come on get it finished. I looked at buying a license years ago and got into a massive flame war on their forums asking when the documentation would be implemeted. That's right... there isn't any! none whatsoever. I think they expect users to use the API through divinity?! The engine is not bad and easy to use with most languages but seriously i would give this a VERY wide berth as no documentation = no work done! Honestly, look elsewhere!!!
P.S. Don't bring up the documentation on their forums or you will be flamed by the fan boi's! You have been warned.

Indeed, if this can serve you in your projects, so it's a good thing.

The images look great.
But the TV3D-fr.org seems to have problems
Anybody knows where I can get a copy of the latest wrapper?
Thank you.

Tried a while back but the lack of suitable english documentation kept us away. Thought it would have been something to consider for the guys in the other department who were planning a training simulator and were looking for a suitable graphics engine but the lack of suitable documentation kept them away, but they already found one to use so thats out. Has the situation improved?

Thalius,
Thank you for the download link.
=============================================================
SFSxOI,
I have been playing with the engine and it is a very nice 3D mesh/physics engine.
tmyke's examples are really good, I am studying/learning his examples.
There is also the online TV3D 6.5 Engine Documentation:
http://www.truevision3d.com/ds/docs/frames.html
It would be better if there are some more examples or tutorials to learn from.

Very good engine and wrapper!
What about the license? Is it on of those wrappers that you buy and enter a command like key("my_license_key") in your app?

Hi folks,
Looking through some files tonight and found TV3D 6.5 so had a play and found tmyke's wrapper for PB
so edited the code to get it working for the latest version of PureBasic 5.30.
Always liked TV3D, I see the website is still up.
Anyone else still use it?

Had not heard of it before your post - I see from their website it was last updated in 2009...... not keeping up with the latest and greatest technology yet it's $150?

ah yeh, the price is still the same it seems although you can
download it for free, only a watermark remains in the bottom right
of your screen.
you pay when you want to release your project commercially, so not
a bad deal I think.
I agree that it does require an update, lots of things happened over the years
not sure what went on, but the main developer first posted in January stating
the website is back up, last post was in June, so still floats around the forum
now and then.
Still a good engine, fast too!
I hope work will resume on this engine.
