Hi all guru's,

I am carrying daily my HD Drive from home (where I used XP )
to the office (where I use WIN98) and back, more often than
not I get error message from XP when back home, is that a known
issue or is it my new HD (60 Go Western Digital) beginning to fail ?

TIA

Best whishes.

Yeap,

WinXP starts and then tells me that it has to check my drives (both the
main one which is permanently attached to the PC, and the one I carry around),
and that takes ages ... for nothing most of times as it nearly never finds
a real error (but I am a cautious guy and let it check). I must add that
my home computer allways runs under the same conditions : both drives in.
I just have an ATI Radeon, a Terratec EWS96/24 soundcard in, 512 Mo DDR,
and an Athlon 1800XP+, no overcloking and good cooling (inside case temp.
under 30°C, CPU temp. under 50°C).

TIA.
