Why does "PureBasic.exe" continue to run in the Windows Task Manager after you've exited from PureBasic?
I've noticed it with 4.20 and both the new betas.
Shouldn't it clean up after itself?
I'm using XP Pro SP3.

I just tried to increase my 'PureBasic.exe' count by double-clicking on some *.PB files, and sure enough, I now have (in the TASK MANAGER)
6 PureBasic.exe tasks running (using various memory settings)
1 PureBasic_Compilation1.exe task running
I do not have any visible programs running. I exited them myself.
I've tried other EXE's and this doesn't appear to happen.
I'll do some investigating

Have you tried running a virus scan? Maybe that one is a virus because you are not supposed to see it once you have already exited PureBasic. Anyway, you can also try to fix your
Windows Task Manager by clicking on Start, typing gpedit.msc into the Run box, hitting Enter, clicking on User Configuration, choosing Administrative Templates, clicking on System, and choosing Ctrl + Alt + Delete. Then, choose Remove Task Manager, double-click, click on Disable, and exit.

If he's had the virus for 2+ years, he's in trouble
