Euro 2008 - footie zone!

Post by srod »

Ah,

as an avid footie fan myself (yay Man Utd!!! :) ) I intend watching more than my fair share of Euro 2008 over the next few weeks. Of course, and much to my shame, England couldn't even manage a ticket to the finals, but that will not stop me supporting my adoptive nation - Portugal (go Ronaldo!!! I don't mean go to Real Madrid... ah crap!)

Still, who do I think will win?

Reckon the Czechs will take some stopping. They could do it. Italy are jammy enough to win everything in sight. The French can never be ruled out and as for the damn Germans!!! Ah, they've won it enough times already!

Go Portugal! :)

Old bugs good, new bugs bad! Updates are evil: might fix old bugs and introduce no new ones.

Yep, Germany hadn't won a single game since 1996 (When we won the championship  ) until tonight.
By the way, it's kind of boring without England, they are my second choice :P

Ah, England are frigging crap no matter how you measure it! We couldn't beat a bunch of drunken schoolgirls. Still, at least we are rid of the 'wally with the brolly' now! :)

We just got a channel subscription to be able to watch this, My wife is going for Portugal because she like Ronaldo

I haven't picked a team yet, Normally I go for Aussie or Japan, it's no fun if you don't have someone to go for. I might go fo Germany as it's the only country in Europe I've ever been to :P (hows that for a tenuous connection to a team ;) ) and because I like the food - especially the bread! :D

Who knows, with Beckham's tuition, the standard of latin American footie might just drop sufficiently to give the rest of us a chance!
