Thank you for making a place for people to post apps, but neglecting game developers.

Actually I agree with Brice here. I mean PB ain't fancy for full blown 3D games, we know that. But not even 2D games? There should really be a forum added as well.

And why should you not post here about a game?
I had no idea a game was not an application, i was always told everything that was started from the OS is an application.

Wikipedia defines an application as everything that runs except the system software, including:
o Battlefield simulators
o Emergency simulators
o Vehicle simulators
+ Flight simulator
+ Driving simulator
o Simulation games

Posting only to post negative is not my idea of a constructive conversation....

Hijacking this thread because you have to point out again that you find the 3d capability's of PB not good enough is very childish.

There always has been a game forum....

Because you made a point of listing everything BUT games in the description of the "app" forum?

How often you heard the sentence: "Hey, I just bought the new Battlefield application"? No one refers to a game as a application. You make a difference between applications and games and to the specific genre of it.

Huh? Image

What the hell is wrong with you all of a sudden? I don't hijack anything. I don't give a shit if PB's good for 3D or not. I tought it is your argument for not creating a seprate game forum.

Where is it?

The traditional meaning of application is productivity/office programs. But I don't see why anyone would hesitate to post their game in this forum.

Bericko just rename it to show as:
Software - Feedback and Discussion
Applications, Games, Tools, User libs and usefull stuff coded in PureBasic
If peeps aren't happy with that, hit'em over the head! :P

I hate to admit it, but I'm also a bit confused about the difference between showcase and announcements... help?

I have to agree with you.

In all seriousness, people got mad in another thread when I said there was open hostility in the PB community towards gamers, Berikco has reaffirmed it and it starts at the top :P

It would obviously be off topic to post a game in that forum based on the forum description

When I read the word "Application", I don't think of games. I think of more "serious" stuff. I would imagine that most people think the same thing too.
