It works here, so il need more correct report.
I guess you work on Linux, looking at your signature?
Is the VD in the compilers dir?
Does the IDE starts with the code?
Does the generated code compiles from the ide?

look at the title (where I always put the version and OS) ..
should I add these informations into the post itself? if it's more convenient for you, please let me (us all) know...
- yes, it's linux (ubuntu 7.10)
- yes, the vd is in the compilers directory
- the IDE doesn't start (if using run) .. nothing happens
- the generated code runs well from the ide.. (using project->pureBasic Editor)
btw. it's an amazing peace of code what you'd done so far.... (not many issues... and only a few bugs.... or are they well hidden
) I'm very impressed!

This one is very important....please add in your post the distro.
if the IDE starts using using project->pureBasic Editor, than there seem to be a problem calling the compiler.
Run only compiles the source and starts it, IDE is not used here.
