Any guesses why I'm asking?

There are a lot of Blitzers now looking for a way to create DLLs without C++!

Fred, hope you read these lines from others.
I think it is possible to do it in PureBasic.

Getting better with a little help from my friends....thx Siggi

Yes, it's possible and I will try to implement it for the next major release (2.90). It should includes a tool to allow access to any DLL (like the ones already present in the default package) with ease. For those which are interested I can release the debugger source so anyone could look at it and change it to a better one... It's only a .obj located in the Debugger directory. I will includes it sources in the next registered package btw. Hum, what else ? Don't know. May be double support (64 bit floats). In the immediate, the new Amiga and Linux version will be out next week (I hope).

This is great!
Now all the people that were dissing PureBasic a month ago on the Blitz Forum can now use PureBasic to build DLL's for Blitz :)

No matter, I'm more excited about the 64bit Floats...
woohoo!!

Wow, thanks Fred!

Paul: are you sure? Most Blitzers have a lot of respect for PB (and I've pointed them to it loadsa times :)

Yes, and I'm one of them!
I was somewhat dissappointed that so many could make a judgement from either trying it out for 2 minutes or not even trying it out at all. Only a small handfull had an open mind.

Personally I find that the two compliment eachother very well. As for support, Fred is pretty amazing. It's not often you can speak with the programmer about various issues and he can send you a patch or help you out right there on the spot!!

That is why i spent more times on PureBasic than on other Programming-languages(and i own a lot !)

I suppose not only creating DLL's with PureB, but also creating PureB LIB's with PureB

This would be very, very nice - other OS like Linux or Amiga don't use Win DLL's!

Me too. Being able to create DLLs in PB for use with BB can only strengthen this marriage of languages.

Wow - You don't waste any time
