Datagrid

Post by michel »

@Fred,

Hello,

Congratulation to the 4.2 Version, PB becomes better and better.
I think after the integration of Sqlite and regular expressions timee has come to give us a DATAGRID gadget.
Do you think this wish becomes realistic?

sincerely Michel

DITO...
A datagrid in VB style would be very cool.

And much more cool would it be, if SetGadgetText would accept XML documents (for datagrid).

Couldn't agree more. For my purposes at least, not having a cross-platform grid gadget is the only real big hole in the gadget library for me.

I've hunted all over the web for a cross-platform open-source grid control that could be utilized like Scintilla was for a editing control, but alas was unsuccessful.

Anyone else know of a cross-platform open-source grid control we could maybe leverage?

Missing DataGrid

Post by DTecMeister »

I fully agree with this. The DataGrid is the one thing missing from being able to develop a cross-platform MS Access replacement.

The FoxGUI toolkit provides everything necessary, but is a huge library the would require a large custom-built wrapper to be able to use from PB.

It may be worth it since it's such a slick GUI, but really will take some work.
Where are the masses?
