I am having a very hard time learning PB because a lot of the
examples I have use outdated/renamed commands.
I am spending all of my time trying to figure out if I can
use a command or not instead of writing programs.
HELP?Joe B.

It would be nice to have a quick reference
But you do. With each new PureBasic update, the docs are updated also.
Just put the cursor on the command and press F1 to get help with it.

Hehe, updates are only for users which need them. For full changes and log, it will always be in official release (for everyone). About OldCommand=NewCommand, I've always put it in the History file. Look for 'Changed:' statement. Which command I've changed to broke up your code ? About Official examples, they are in the PureBasic/Examples/Sources/ directory and they always work (I test/compile them all before release).
