Hi guys ^o^
My newest revision of TranceDrums is here! Codenamed Intensiva, the new TranceDrums has been improved even more! Perfectly equalized and timed with passion, the new TranceDrums is ready to be used in Ardour or Audacity too!
This is a special Xmas Eve release and yeah, I'm playing with the TranceDrums v2 - Intensiva right now live in Ableton Live! in my small party @ home ^O^

Thanks for sharing.
I'd release the cymbal sample without the delay though, as it's only really
usable for one tempo as it is now.

in the demo you need some compression to make the bassdrum
stick much more forward
Other than that its allright
You could do a few variations of them of course:
For instance, its common to have the clap really distorted so its more like white noise than a real clap (and then you mix it with a snare drum).
I just noticed you did this the other way around. Maybe you should just have
a less distorted snare, too
Also, possibly a variation of the closed and open hihat with less reverb. Though they go in your mix fine, sometimes you would like more control
over them as the producer
---that said---
That said, it seems like you wanted them to be ready-to-plug-in for trance.
A note to people who listens to the samples alone: don't judge them from that. There is really a lot of reverb in the hihats you produce with, and
you have to hear them in-mix as with the demo she provided if you want
to hear how they sound in-mix.
And thanks for sharing, yes

And greetings to you, too
i'll send you a pm with something.
edit: Damn! Those smileys are nearly on a straight row top-down

The kick drum was the hardest part I guess. I needed to combine many kick drum samples in one, add some bass boost, shuffle with the send's, cut and slice in ReZound, etc... and I still don't have a pumpy kick like heard in Tiƫsto's Elements of Life tracks. The clap really distorted? I will see what I can do... Maybe I want to record the clap sample from my MC-303, because the TR-909 of my uncle has a way too "soft" clap.. I do agree though with the reverb settings, They just sounded so good that I left them with reverb, but as you said more control, more power. You are also right that I wanted to make a ready-to-use drumkit for trance. I have seen MANY drumkits both commercial and public domain that need _much_ tweaking to make them sound any good. I can't stress it enough how much I regret it that I bought the drumkit samples of Studio ProFiles... And their lolita in the hotline couldn't give me a refund, what a b*tch ~_~
Oh and thanks for your demo, sounds a bit off the hood but the drums are good.. PS: With all the smileys you start to look a bit desperate ^_^

bah
If you want i could put a lot of angry smileys in too?

Hm. well i'll write something
in trance the kicks have to be kept tight and not boomy. But they still have to be punching!.
Anyway first up i think the kick is too long. Snap it off a bit. Also, play with a compressor. Be sure to try a very short attack and then a longer release.
Also often the kicks actually have some noise in the start. Nearly like a shhboom.
Anyway i spent 2 minutes with a few of your samples. The first loop-in is from one of my sample cd's though.
its nothing advanced or anything but here you go:

The only thing i touched of your samples was the bassdrum, which i added
a compressor and an EQ to boost higher sounds

about mixing, listen to this little loop i made yesterday. I still keep the kick long in front. Thats why there need to be white space, so its audible
when the kick hits and not just feelable.

agreed the melody is a bit so so, and it shouldnt run that high in the ending.
just testing of a few producing ideas
But i didn't even mean to make that track hehe
do you like my new style or should i go back to the old. I will try moving towards anthem trance for this xmas

I'm sorry I didn't want to make you mad or sad. That would be then the 5th time in a row! I just felt you to be insecure because of having the same smiley repeated so many times. Nothing more than that. Sorry again.
About the TranceDrums, keep tuned I will work on improving it! And as a side note, I did not release all samples from the collection in the v0.99 release. More to come in v2! ^_^

I have already listened to them. I heard that rainbow track when you sent it through PM... And after listening to both of them I see that I have _much_ to improve. Thanks again for your support!
PS: Put on your Live! Messenger I'll be soon online and tomorrow maybe too ^O^

Just one smiley, that's a new personal record.
Edit: I can't count! Neither smileys nor topic replies, I thought it was the last one! Time to go to bed.
