Some friends and I have been getting together to play music. We are just doing it for FUN, we won't play gigs and we are mainly doing cover songs. I thought I would share a song we recorded over the weekend. You should recognize the tune. I am playing guitar.

It is an 8.4MB download. Please download it and play it, don't try and stream it as I am not supposed to have ANY mp3s on this hosting space.

Wow, that's really good... I'm wondering if you guys recorded one track at a time, and with what equipment? The sound quality is really impressive.

Sounds me to Whitesnake, Deff Leppard, DIO, Megadeth, Van Halen, etc styles, ie. the ones of the more commercial metals ...

Thanks, guys!

No, it was "studio live", everything went into the mixer, then into a computer running n-track.
The sound quality is really impressive.
IMHO, very muddy sounding, but it wasn't meant to be a professional recording, mainly trying to capture some of the majic of a jam session.
Cool tune, fire the drummer
More like the singer for messing up the words on the chorus, although to his defense, I have heard Perry sing it various different ways back in the day.

no, definately a drummer mistake... hehe, I've played drums for longer than I have programmed.... he isn't a bad drummer to be fair... I've just heard better.
an example of my drumming from many centuries ago lol

Lucifer: As to the drumming, what is the mistake? Foot or hand? The drummer (who is a plumber) had a work accident two years back and broke his right hip, his "footwork" has never been the same.
I can't say much myself, as the car accident I was in back in Feb messed up my left index finger pretty bad which has really bugged my guitar playing quite a bit. Still play other instruments ok, though.
As to the song, we really tried to stay true to the original version.
