Decent purchasable download service?

Recently I earned a few hundreds off my AdSense/Banner Exchange, I want to buy a stable and reasonable download service to store my downloadable files.
I have a Hostmonster account but I don't want to take the risk even their bandwidth offer is very generous, so I want a seperate download service and I'm happy to pay for it.
Anyone have experience with this?

I don't have experience with it directly, but if you make a thread about your needs on
http://www.freewebspace.net/forums/ I am sure someone will hook you up with good hosting. Most of those guys who offer hosting are very reliable ^_^

No problems at all with DreamHost. Here is a code to get you $97 off your first years account (you also get a free domain name, etc) - it will cost you only $20 for the entire year!!!

I have *lots* of websites with *lots* of bandwidth being used, you can also move back and forth between private servers if you think that you need to control ram and cpu usage, etc
Although you have virtually unlimited downloads, if you want to charge for stuff you can also use a system they have called "Files Forever", here is some text about it:
FTP the files you want to store (Files Forever is only for files that do not have any DRM) to any directory in any FTP user you have. (Currently, only DreamHost customers may upload new files to Files Forever.)
Visit the Upload Files area to tell us where you just uploaded your files. Click a button and we copy the files from your regular web hosting account into our PERMANENT ONLINE FILE ARCHIVE.
It is only $.01/4 MB to store your files forever. This is a one time fee ... it is not per month!
You now have a unique, permanent URL for each file you've stored! You can set your files' description, sharing permissions, and pricing at the Your Files area. Then, you can sell, share, or just re-download that file simply by linking to that one URL! (Note, all bandwidth and storage used by Files Forever files do not count towards your hosting plan at all!)
(Note, you are charged the one-time fee of $.01/4 MB for each new copy of a file sold or given to another user (they may then re-download the file forever). This is on top of any transaction fees when selling files. You are not charged this when you just loan your copy of a file to someone else, only if you sell or give them their own permanent copy.)
Finally...
You can check out your history of sales, transaction fees, shared files, etc. via the Billing History area.
(DreamHost takes a 5% + 50c payment transaction fee on each sale. We do our best to minimize this by combining users' purchases and charging them only when they have enough files to make it worth while!)
Amazon have a similar file download service, but I don't think it's as cheap.
Hope this helps,
-Anthony

Why not use a cheap good reiliable hosting such as reseller zoom here:
Reseller Zoom Link
allowing you unlimited domains also selling packages so you can be the hosting provider through them and charge as you wish your clients, for the price of $7! per month.
then you can install trough cPanel which is the control panel of your domain
a shopping cart or install one trough their automatic installer that can install you wordpress/joomla/drupal and such in one click.
you can use paypal as your charging service and then send back email with the link on your server.
should be simple enough.
if you are selling stuff that are not common, i mean if you sell like 10 copies a day there is no reason someone will post the link or even hack your server.

Thanks Irene, DoubleDutch and Pantcho!!
DoubleDutch's offer is just about I want, I am going to host a few of free game and the gad damned(sorry...) SDL tutorial projects.
I can't predict the amount of download so I set up a counter to record and calculate during the next week then decide if I need that instantly.

That's a good deal (is it the Birthday code?).
Yoxola: If you need a static IP (very useful) I can create a different code for you, you get $30 less money off - but you get a lifetime fixed IP for a domain <- useful for setting up SSL.
Let me know if you need the new code.

Yes, just noticed it on their site.
*please note* I do not endorse or personally use DreamHost and that is not likely to change.

I do use dreamhost and have had NO problems and would recommend them to anyone. Support is usually same or next day. They are very "down-to-earth", if you take a look a the dreamhost blogs and newsletters then you will see what I mean.
If you do have problems, don't blame me though!

I love their blog
I still have not been able to find a hosting service since my previous host Jatol decided to disappear off the face of the earth back in August. Damn near kills me that I had paid two years in advance

I use valethosting.com for hosting - reasonable price and extremely reliable - and a commercial package called Digital Goods Store (about $40US as I recall). There are several scripts out there for a few dollars which will do the automatic download.
Oh, and DGS is set up for PayPal IPN which is nice.
Good luck!
