Hi,
If you paint your butt blue and glue the hole shut you just themed your ass but lost the functionality.

Another couple of suggestions:
Be able to edit variables through the standalone debugger UI (for example, double clicking on them could create an in-place edit control).
Be able to copy variable values to the clipboard (which you'd get for free if you added the previous suggestion ;)
