I like
DeleD, it can export mesh for ogre.
A very simple tutorial

[restrains himself]
Use Irrlicht, I can't say anymore than that because basically I'd start a long flame war as to how bad OGRE is.

I've got a mmEngine SDK with PureBasic includes flying around unused. If someone wants to have it: $40/35 Euro
I'm totally into texture creation right now so I won't need it

LOL, yeh Ogre is so bad in PB right now it can't load any of the .mesh formats because it's that far behind, the exporters have moved on.
Of course it could be argued that if Ogre wasn't so anal retentive about keeping to one file format '.mesh' that this wouldn't be such a huge problem, we'd simply use another format like, .x / .3ds or .ms3d, but sometimes it's hard to talk sense to a def mule, such as the Ogre Dev team.
But even if they did listen and implemented multi-format support this instant, it isn't going to help PB because it's Ogre engine is 1.0.7
So your current choices for engines for 3d work right now are real limited, Irrlicht or .. ? ..

IrrLicht
wrapper in it's current condition isn't choice at all. OGRE too. I, personally, can't use Dreamotion because of VC issues, and simply don't like Xtreme3D.
So... mmEngine is my only choice as for now.

Eh eh...
I use
Hexagon 2 for modeling and texturing.
Then i use Gimp for retexturing.
And finally i use DeleD Lite to export to Ogre...
Pretty good stuff and i bought it for 5 USD in a site promotion
