Wasn't there some videos on the Forum about this, one - two years ago? Can't find them...
[EDIT]
Microsoft's presentations are rather cool, though...
[EDIT again]
This requires a total new IDE for PB, doesn't it?

That's quite old stuff Microsoft® just copied...

Look at these videos at Google®'s YouTube.com featuring the Perceptive Pixel technology.

Yeah - I know... That was this video I was searching for in the first post.
[EDIT]
Hmmm... according to Microsoft History of Surface they seems to have started developing this in 2001, so I'll guess there will be a struggle in court?

saw it on TV a few days ago... and had to grin...

ok, there are some new things with the handling and the interface e.g. to a digicam you put on the table to load the pics...

but touchscreen is an old joke.
more than 10 years ago there were already tourist information tables with touchscreen here in germany.

   I bought a 7" touchscreen for €200 just a couple of months ago...  It was too small tough, so I'm going for a 10" or 12" inch one...

Used it with a Jukebox Player on New Years Eve and it was a huge success! Everybody was happy, no one was complaining about music... :D :D

Looks good though, whoever gets it to market first will make a killing.

I think so too... As it was with the Amiga. A brilliant technology released to early. The goal of success is to release a technology when the "masses" are ready! (and with the right name... Skype, Google, Joost, YouTube, Yahoo... it seems as silly, easy spelling (and easy to remember) names does it! )

"Fondle" seems appropriate for a name !! omg i must register !

btw. as for what the old touchscreen technology goes... am not sure if it was SW or HW related but the old touchscreenmodel only allowed for a single point of touch at once.

Back OT, I like the way it recognised a drink and said 'Getting thirsty?' around the bottom of the glass, really clever, I wonder what else it would recognise.

Starts to wonder.... Ahh, got it. What would it say if you sat on it?

If you were an attractive looking woman with a nice ass, it might have a lot to say, including some strange and un-natural bonding between woman and machine.

If an old and ugly bloke like me sat on it, instant BSOD!!!
