Its legal to sell PB?

I don't know why it shouldn't. I don't share my user account, I hand over the login data and then the customer must change the password and contact email. There are no legal issues with it (speaking of European right which applies here I think).

If he bought it legally, why not?
But I would change the password
EDIT: Once again to slow

If you pay me $25, I will take DBPro off of your hands

Hmm, no thanks. Technically DBPro is a really good DX9 based BASIC. But the syntax is just so.. ..umm.. ..don't know. It was fun designing shaders and bring them to life with DBPro but I can't imagen doing a whole project with it. It's just not my language.

Seems like a crappy deal to me.
Only half off and you still have the programs yourself
Personally, I think this topic should be locked, deleted, destroyed and never spoken of ever again. But that's just me

That would depend on Fred and the license agreement, many companies don't allow license transfer, especially with electronically delivered products, because they have no real way of being assured that the seller has destroyed all copies of it.
@Sebe;
PureBasic license agreement from the installer wrote:This package is a single computer license only. This license can't be sell or donate to a third person or company.
DarkBasic Pro license agreement from the installer wrote:Software Transfer. You may permanently transfer all of your rights under this EULA, provided you retain no copies, you transfer all of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT (including all component parts, the media and printed materials, any upgrades), and the recipient agrees to the terms of this EULA.
You may want to check the licenses of the other software you are selling to be sure you can.

@GeoTrail: I think I don't understand what you mean

What programs? Are you speaking of PureBasic, Cheetah3D and DBPro? Then let me tell you this: PureBasic and DBPro must be downloaded from a user panel that I will have no access once I'l have transferred the account data. With the creator of Cheetah3D I spoke personally and he knows that he can trust me.
@Tipperton: I have the permission of the Cheetah3D creator to transfer my license, the permission of DBPro. Speaking of the permission to sell PureBasic. I've bought my PB license second hand from another guy. This version was the boxed version of PB, which can be sold or donated as one wish because there was no EULA shown when bought. The account was then upgraded (also no EULA to be approved) and then sold to me. So nobody has the right to tell me not to sell my license because: it's based on something you can buy at the stores, there was no EULA when I bought and there was also no EULA when the guy who sold me bought PB originally. I don't want to do anything that seems to be wrong to the majority of the PB users, because most of them are really nice people. And if Fred is uncomfortable with this he should tell me and I will delete the PB offer. But from the legal side I can't be touched, you can ask Andre if you want. Oh and by the way: I got a digital copy of the receipt that IS the license for the boxed PB (it was scanned by the guy who sold me). And this license can be transferred for sure.

There is a license you have to agree too when installing PB. As Tipperton quoted,
it states that it cannot be resold.

Yes, the box you own and can resell as you wish, but not the right to use the software.
This is the main difference from a license agreement to something else you buy.
You only actually own the box, the cd etc. The rights to use the software are only "rented" by the terms
of the license agreement.
So please remove your offer for PB.

Yes... but... most of the people here (barring certain selected people from China (not ALL of them... just some)) already own a copy of PB.
and I agree with FR34K!!!
And you would have to give me more than $85.00 to take DarkBasic off your hands!

he should sell(makes his offer) for germans only, coz there is german law where selling software is no capital crime (See BGB for details).
And BGB and our 'Grundgesetz' are more relevant than any EULA's (you never read) .
(See OEM-Selling of Windows-OS )
Other law's and other countrys'Bullshit didn't count for me here
(sound's like *chinese* but is my Opinion)
anyway, who wants DBPro ???
