Hi all

I purchased a new hosting account

and i would like you all to download a simple mp3 file
and tell me the speed your get per second (KBPS)

also mention which country you are :)

you can download the test file here (right click the link and choose 'Save link as...')
http://www.premiumfocus.com/speedtest/test.mp3

thanks a lot!

P.S
you don't have to download the whole file just when you get a stable download speed is enough.

Average 700Kbps on a 12Mbps DSL2 line ...

The file is too small it bottle necks ... when it starts to speed up, it's over

--Edit--

Cool i've been looking for this track from Leftfield!!!

CLASSIC 8)

Looking at all those speeds from around the world and then looking at what the UK has to offer, unless you want to spend loads of money, makes me sad.

And i just pay 19,90€ / month for this line :)

It had a 5Mbps line contracted and my ISP upgraded to the new 12Mbps service for free!

And i do get those 1.2 Mb per second on large files, so i'm very happy :P

124.54K/s form ADSL 1000 Stuttgart Germany
One thing is suspicious though, i also tried downlaoding from my Root Server in Berlin Germany running on a 100 mbt Internet Connection and I only get 30 K/s
otherwise it's connection to the Net seems ok
